Nitro RC Cars – Top Tips For Their Maintenance

Nitro RC cars work practically just like regular cars and because of this, regular cleaning and maintenance of such cars have become crucial to keeping their reliability and performance intact. Here are several top tips that will ensure your nitro RC car stays in great shape for a long time to come.

One big problem that a lot of people face when it comes to nitro RC cars is setting them up and adjusting the engines fuel and air settings in order to for it to run reliably and to perform at its best at all times. In essence, if the mixture of fuel and air isn’t properly set up, your RC car simply won’t work the way it should.

In general, two ways exist with which you can make adjustments to your nitro RC car engine. For one, you can set up the fuel mixture, so the engine runs lean (this means that less fuel will go into the car engine). Or, you can set the fuel mixture to rich (this means that more fuel will go into the car engine). Beginners should always get professional advice on how their nitro RC model should get set up, but in general, it would be smart to set the mixture of fuel to slightly rich since this will keep the engine properly lubricated and thus make it less likely to overheat and stop working. Another important thing to keep in mind would be to ensure that the carburetor and fuel lines are always very clean. Whenever dirt enters the engine, fuel system, or carburetor, excessive engine wear and unreliability could come about. Because of this, the fuel system should always remain clean.
